Should I say 12 months or 1 year? 1 year sounds so big. And depressing.
Not really depressing, just bittersweet that my little newborn is now an energetic and full of life toddler. You are now fully walking and almost running. There is no more crawling in your vocabulary unless you try to crawl out of the fitting room when mommy goes shopping. LOL. Mommy actually finds it slightly easier than crawling because now I can just let you go and not worry about you putting your hands on the floor. And the adventure and glimmer in your eyes as you explore this world that walking has given you is so worth the physical fatigue mommy feels at the end of the day.
You are still a happy baby and today at your first birthday party, you were so cute and charming and giggly and smiley. You loved playing peekaboo with everyone and even displayed a little bit of your newfound cooking skills. At the end, you crashed and fell asleep at 5:30 on the way home.
In terms of milestones, you are understanding so so much including the following commands:
"kick your feet"
"shake your toy"
"put it on your head"
"can you cook for mommy"
"share your food"
"what does the fan do"
"give Jeter a kiss" Actually you have loved kissing everything for awhile now. I think you started kissing photos in your book at 9 months. Now you love to kiss everything especially Jeter.
You are also saying a few words including "daddy", "Jeter", "ball", "tree", "akeake" for shake shake shake, "wawa" for water, "wownwon" for round and round, "no more". Oh and how can I forget "no, no, no". Today you said very clearly, "NO Jeter".
You are also repeating alot more words.
Hmmmmmm. Notice something missing from that list????? I do!!!! Where is MOMMY on that list???????????????????????????????????
Even with that word missing from your vocabulary, I still love you forever and ever. Love always, your mommy!
